Worst Use of a Great License
The games in this category are truly the worst of the best. They take beloved brands and transform them into be-loathed games. Even worse, they use your imagination against you. You see your favorite hero, athlete, or race car staring at you from the box cover, and can't help but picture the fun you could have in those boots, cleats, or wheels. But the following acts of alchemy turn heroes into fools, race cars into clunkers, and entire sports leagues into poorly run circuses. If this category had a mascot, it would be the angler fish: your favorite things dangling above the jaws of bad games. So read on with caution; the riches below are fool's gold.

Readers' Choice Winner
Iron Man, one of Marvel's most durable Super Heroes, is blasting onto video game platforms and the big screen this spring. The epic, action-packed Marvel Studios production will be directed by John Favreau and stars Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, Terrance Howard and Gwyneth Paltrow. This third-person action game will immerse players in explosive militaristic combat from the film with loads of additional content created exclusively for the game.
They wer all gonna be disasters except for Lost: Via Domus so that should have won the demerit not Ironman which everyone knew would be bad yet bought anyways.
Iron man was my movie of the year in 08...but I heard some awful things about the game...never did hear one GOOD thing xD
But the only people who actually play Valkyrie Chronicles are...Valkyrie Chronicles fans. I don't know anyone who plays those games without them being hardcore about that genre anyway.
I reckon they rushed the development of it and they gave the license to the wrong guys. It was just like transformers the game.
I could at least play through a couple of missions of Iron Man, but the game Hulk was soooo horrible looking and it played sooo terribly that I wanted to throw the disk out of the window. A cousin of mine bought it, without checking any reviews, and I feel pity for him.
I don't understand how someone could mess up Iron man. Like great license should have been an awesome game, but nope.
I love how Iron Man is on every known platform, but the Wii label is shown when the worst awards are shown. But Gamespot is not biased...
Wow.All three games up there have the label SEGA pasted proudly on the bottom right hand side.I bet their wanting to take the label off to escape shame :(
Hulk should be here..The previous one "incredible hulk" was a great game and even with similiar concepts they couldn't deliver that in the movie based one...Even the movie was a big dissapointment.. Iron man was bound to suck because it was purely movie based...
How could Iron Man be considered a great license? Movie games are ALWAYS horrible, and the movie wasn't too great either.
I don't really think of the Olympic games as a license, personally... And I also don't particularly care if they ever make a good one. Not my cup of tea.
@cikid No they are talking about the stupid version of the Olympics game they released... I say we just burn all copies of all the games listed and never speak of them again!
Sega, you made such amazing games when you were in the homeconsole business, now that you have more time to make great games you make them crappy.
