In GameSpot's 2008 awards, "dubious honors" are just that--dubious, at best. These awards are given for not-so-great achievements in less-than-outstanding areas that are either traditionally considered to be dubious distinctions, such as the most disappointing game of the year, to categories that encompass new and emerging trends, such as in-game advertising. Like with most other categories in our awards, each category is limited to a maximum of five finalists?and maybe that's for the best.
