It can be frustrating, but pretty fun as well.
The gameplay is a little bit challenging at first, since it heavily relies on using the power ups and drifting everytime you can so you can use the build up turbo to get some needed advantage. There are also powers that charge every time you perform an acrobatic jump, and it's quite handy at some points of the race. But keep in mind that you'll have to spend some time suffering to lean how the car behaves and from there you can have some fun.
The campaign championship is quite short. If you're pretty good you can breeze through them. Each universe has 3 races so you just have to qualify with the sum of all points. For it's simplicity and quite bare bone content on the disc you can have some fun if you don't spend too much on this. Can definitely be a rental if you have some hours to spare, but don't expect anything close to Mario Kart with this racer.
