A fast paced Action game with plenty of cool bosses weapons and abilities.
Story
Well its pretty hard to follow and fully understand the main plot. It has something to do with Bayonetta being one of the last Umbra Witches and the awakening of a big powerful god like creature known as the Creator.
Gameplay
Bayonettas main focus is on action it. There are so many different moves you will most likely find one you like. One of the most known finishes is a Torture attack where you kill an enemy with something very extrodinary. There's also witch time which if you dodge an enemy attack right on cue you slow down time and get some time to cause destruction.
As Bayonetta your equipment you will get shotguns,blades and claws and even abilities to buy certain techinques as well which can aid you in your journey. You buy things by getting these things called Halos after you have killed a bad guy. You spend these at a place called the Gates of Hell which is like a shop to buy things from moves to,health to new firepower. An area that seems lacking is the puzzles though it seems to relate mostly to witch time and getting to a certain point in a time limit. Also during the middle of the game you get to transform into a black panther and that comes in handy when jumps are to far or your being chased.
The bosses in this game are huge and some basically take up a whole chapter. They aren't as good as God of Wars but some of the finishing moves you do are so satisfying. There is a section in the game where its like a shhoter and that is a bit weak as are the motorbike sections in the game but at least it doesn't happen much. Also there are Quick Time Events and sometimes it doesn't respond to your button commands stopping you sometimes from nailing a perfect clearence of a chapter therefore getting a Platinum Medal.
Presentation
Nothing really mindblowing hear its just okay from the looks of things. Some of the cut scenes are cheesy and some don't really make alot of sense and the music is a bit cheesy too.
Lastability
Aboput 8 hours possibly for the main game but there's always the prospect of playing it on a harder difficultly and getting all the weapons,techniques and items.
Overall Opinion
Bayonetta is a solid game not amazing but at least worth a playthrough. It just seems to similar to certain games. Yes the action scenes are very good but its dialogue and puzzle design stop it rivaling the God of War games. It's definetly worth a look.
