Sexy, Funny and Satisfying combat makes this a HIT.

User Rating: 9 | Bayonetta PS3
Bayonetta is a game i have not yet encountered in a PS3 game. The combat is excellent, you chunk up tons of combos. The fighting technique looks sexy and satisfying. The jokes in the game just brightens up the game.

Graphics:
Bayonetta looks great, althought it can look a little washed out on the colours, gameplay and cutscenes looks sharp. There's little to complaint about, framerate issues is hardly present as well, although some reviews claims there is. You may also notice that some cutscenes are made into clips to give audience the idea and not do the whole animations. Somehow the clips also tries to give a impression of found memories which appears part by part.

Throughout the game, you will meet with several charactors, all of them are refined graphics. There's this small child named cereza that looks so alike to bayonetta. The enemies mostly are gods, so they look kind of holy, but the graphics never fails to impress, cutscenes and boos fights shouts epic.

Gameplay:
This is the part you should be playing the game for. The combat has more combos than you can find in devil may cry, there's different weapons you can customise on Bayonetta's hands and legs. These weapons comes from a shop where u buy with halos dropped by angels when they die.

Other than weapons, there's a good variety of accessories you can buy, like rings which alters your fighting, such as automatically triggering a short period witch time when ur damaged. There's also potion stuffs which can heal you or increase ur mana to even extending you max life. Some fo these weapons are unlocked when you achieve certain targets in game though.

The combat here is seperated into "Triangle" and "Circle" buttons. Triangle means the use of hands and circle, legs. You make tons of combos by maybe a combination of both buttons. Not only is this game very fast paced, it also introduced witch time that awards you for timely avoidance of attacks. In all, it get really satisfying and never fails to create the kind of button smashing fun.

You might be seeking for some finishing moves, yes there are, but they are mostly animated to ask you to press "triangle" and "circle" together, followed by some crazy button smash to hit the enemy. You may also face with some dangers such as fallen objects which u have to press animated buttons to escape.

There is a lot fo stuffs to unlock here, not all items are available for purchase even if you managed to beat the game. Some weapons required certain amt. of chapters completion. Oh speaking of chapters, the game is seperated by chapters, it sort of gives you a cinematic and break between these chapters and for ease of replay the game.

The annoyance here through, if the infamous loading times. Whenever you try to pause the game by press start, you'll be welcomed by a 2-5 seconds loading depending on where you pause ur game. The game also takes pretty lot of time when accessing ur menus and inventory. The only bearable loading are those are introduces bayonetta into free play, you can try out combos by waiting. But then i believe a simple installation to the HDD should improve most flaws.

Audio:
My box writes DTS and Dolby Digital but i'm only getting Dolby Digital. The music here is the best part, every battles, every cutscenes are well enjoyable thanks to great soundtracks, those Jpop just sounds so good, so does those jazz.

The voiceover is excellent. Bayonetta sounds naughty, cereza sound like a kid with all that mummy and sobbing.

Verdict:
Bayonetta is a game not to be missed despite several loading issues. If you have the alternate console, ill suggest u get ur game for 360. If you like hack and slash, multiple combos and some finishing moves, Bayonetta if waiting for you.
And just my 2 cents, the ending is EPIC and satisfying.
