For the record this is one of (if not, can’t decide) favorite games for the NES. Battletoads was one of the first games that I ever played for NES. Even when I was 5 I loved this game. The opening tune is one of my favorite games tunes.
The game play of this game is sort of a free movement side scroller which adds to the fun because you have more freedom than some other games. The interesting story lines with toads being your main characters made this not like any other game. The hilarious over exaggeration of the fist and feet when punching and kicking added to the fun factor. Some of the levels can be hard at times (like most NES games) but after practice and time you can beat them with ease. (Also when you get bored and your playing 2 players just start pounding each other.)
Overall this game is a true classic that most people don’t recognize at that. This will always be one of my favorite and will forever be in my collection.
