This game is hard to the EXTREME! but it more than makes up for that in good fun and suberb graphics.

User Rating: 7.7 | Battletoads & Double Dragon SNES
This game is said to be way too hard. That is true. This game is said to be horrible. This is false. BattleToads and Double Dragons is a suprisingly good game that just should not have existed, but it does, it is good, and you should play it if you enjoy hard games and have a partner is azz kicking by your side.

Gameplay: This game has some smooth gameplay folks. The frame rate rarely ever drops, and enemies will pour in realisticly, and are a little different from each other. The single player mode is OK, while the two-player mode steals the show and is good fun.

The only problem with the gameplay is that it is way too hard. This is one thing that almost everyone can agree on. The normal enemies will deck you with cheap shots and love tag teaming you. You have to get used to losing lives. Lots, and lots, of precious, wasted lives. Speaking of losing things, you will lose your hope in many boss battles. Each one with the SOLE exeption of the first boss, each boss is much harder than the last. You will probably figure out their combos and patterns within the first ten seconds of facing them, but it will take you forever to manage to dodge them.

That is somewhat made up for with the two-player option, but the diffuculty is still glaring. I'll give this an 8/10, just because the two-player mode will help you with everything and it is still solid with the 1 player option.

Graphics: You can argue about this for years, but everyone will come to this conclusion: This game is one of the very few which rival Yoshi's Island in Super Nintendo platforming graphics. The sprites are increadibly crisp, they move very fluently, and the bosses are huge and very cool looking.

The backgrounds, stages, and sprites are good enough for the god stat of them all: a 10/10. With graphics like these, only certain other games can stand up to this, and the graphics alone make something you would love.

Sound: I cannot give this a good score. The sound effects are cartoon sounds of punches, and there are no special zap or burn or run sounds. The music is great, but you grow sick of it in time. This just gives a bland 5/10. They could have tried harder...

You should buy this game if: A: You love challenges, or B: Want to see what graphics the Super Nintendo was capable of. Otherwise, you should steer clear of this, it does have a lot of weaknesses.
