You will be somebody here. A part of a band of brothers that you wont find in any other game.

When you first log on to Battlefield Europe you will be presented with the option to join a squad. Do it, but make sure you really want to play the side your on (German, French, or British). A squad here isn't like a regular FPS squad where you're just part of the team until you move to a new map or server. You're squad is long term. They will teach you how to play in all aspects. They will answer any question you have no matter how silly you might think it. They will be a huge part of your gaming experience and soon you will come to think of them as more than just a squad. And if you don't like your squad for whatever reason you can leave and join another one. A squad is more like a clan or a guild... Mine has 200 members currently. The learning curve is steep only because there are so many different aspects of the game. As a recruit you will be limited in some of your choices but your squad will help you gain points so you can advance quickly. Like knifing your opponent quietly while he thinks he's capturing your spawnable? Good. Want to cut down your opponents in a swath of lead? Good. Want to be a part of a spec ops team who goes behind enemy lines to cut the knees out from under the enemy? Great. Some other things include; Bombing, strafing, dogfighting, scouting, interdicting, resupplying (oooh fun!), tanking, boating, shooting down aircraft, sapping tanks, sniping, driving, swimming, parachuting, para-shooting, gunning, gunning, and more gunning, nading, plotting, planning, pwning. There is only one map and one server. Battles happen all up and down the WWII western front with hundreds of opponents and friendlies waging all out war. The map is half the scale size of Europe so don't just take off in any given direction. Stay with your squad until you learn the game. This game is for pilots, shooters, and strategy fans alike. But don't bring Grandmas old computer to play. My recommendation is to have at minimum a P4, Geforce 6 series, and 2 gigs of ram (or their equivalents). Cable is preferred, too. Also, get TeamSpeak!!!! Very important! If you have 5.1 or other surround you'll love hearing this game. There are some players who've been active since 2001. I've been playing for a year and a half myself. If you don't have patience, don't buy this game. The game has a monthly subscription after your first month pre-payable up to a year. If you love the game after a month you'll be here for a long time to come. See you on the Battlefield. S!
