Battleforge is an amazing game that you must check out if you want to have the best of both worlds when it comes to card collecting and RTS strategy. If you play the free downloadable version you only start out with a few cards, but it's enough to get you interested in the game and give you a quick run-down of how the game operates. If you can spend the money, try to find this game at Walmart or Best Buy and you can probably find it on sale for $10 which makes it a lot cheaper to acquire the 3000 BF points and you get 4 starter decks from all the original elements.
Every time you complete a mission you are awarded with gold and a couple of random upgrade cards to improve the effectiveness of your deck. It becomes even more fun when you are playing some of the huge maps with up to 12 players ...well it's not all on the same map, but instead split up between 3 maps while each map has their own missions to accomplish.
Anyways, Battleforge is a great game that you should check out.
