This game did not live up to its hype. Just another typical EA published release. It does, however, have its moments.

I will start out by saying that this is not a bad game, and for being a free game there really isn't anything to complain about. There are 3 classes/kits to choose from, each has its own set of abilities that you lvl up over time. I like that concept, although starting out can be a bit rough until you gain 2-3 skill points. 4 maps total, 2 of which are a pretty decent size, while the other 2 are more infranty based.

Pro's: Fun arcade-style combat with each class/kit having different weapons to choose from. Great teamwork aspects. Vehicles are great; not too powerful, and not too weak. Even though there are only 4 maps as of now, they each have their strongpoints and are all fun.

Cons: Only 4 maps (on release). Teams cannot be shuffled due to a person choosing team upon player creation.

I know, I know. You may be thinking why after listing so many good qualities and only a few of the bad, that the score I gave the game may not be justified. However, I assure you that it is, and I will explain why.

The main problems this game has revolve around the fact that EA published it. The game is free to play, and wanting to make some money off of it is totally understandable, but if you are huge on character customization, you may want to look away from the screen. There is virtually NO customization at all that you don't have to pay for. Each article of clothing will cost about $5 (around $30-40 total) and get this. They all expire each month. So you have to repurchase the same items again after they expire. Just to wear different clothing....

So other than being way too expensive when it comes to personalizing your character, this game unfortunately did not live up to the hype. The game was pushed back and rescheduled so many times that it lost many followers before release, and finally when the game came out. Many of us played it and were disappointed. Its fun, but compared to other games out there ( Team Fortress 2 ) there really is no point to playing it long term. It just did not live up to its full potential and DICE had no control over what EA wanted to do.

So bottom line is this. Fun game and free with some drawbacks; however EA sticks it to you when it comes to character customization and did not allow the game to be better than it could have. Worth a try, but don't expect to be playing for more than a week unless you have several friends to play with at all times.
