Unfortunately I've played Bad Company 2 as well, so I'm gonna have to compare.

User Rating: 8 | Battlefield: Bad Company PS3
I was torn between an 8 and 8.5 for this game. I decided to give it an 8 because it's simply not as fun as Bad Company 2.

So there's 7 levels, you are Preston Marlowe. You are the newest recruit to Bad Company. The game got frustrating as they were so many cut scenes. Plus when you had to go to the smoke, you couldn't skip them cut scenes so the game wasn't very well paced. The shooting was good and accurate, which is vital for a FPS to work out, and I loved all the gadgets, explosives and grenades. But what makes this game stand out from any other FPS was the vehicle sequences, this made it so much more realistic and like a war game, instead of shooting people for no reason. After a while your objectives got tedious as it was the same thing every time, and there were no stealth missions up to date so your knife in the campaign is almost pointless.

On the multiplayer side of things, it heats up! Although sometimes you die seconds after you respawn, Battlefield: Bad Company has a very good community. Although they were only 2 game modes (Gold rush and Capture the Flag) it didn't get boring and that's why we play games, to have fun.

The Good: Fairly long campaign. Character voice overs were good. Online was fun and addictive. Vehicle sequences were unique. A breath of fresh air to FPS. Some quotes were humorous! Good community.

The Bad: Too many cut-scenes in the campaign. Graphics were OK but nothing more. Multiplayer needs more game modes. First mission a bit cagey. Repetitive missions and maps.
