Best of 2010 - Game of the Year Nominees (Xbox 360)

Arcade games like Super Meat Boy shouldn't be eligible for game of the year. seriously, how much work and creativity goes into an arcade game compared to a full console/pc game? it isn't fair on other titles. Also, bayonetta? come on. Reach all the way.

Redneck Redemption. ME2 It's really going to be about what they base their rating upon. RDR and ME2 pull you into a world like a great game should. I dig shooters but would almost never call them a goty as there's little to no originality left there. Then there's the opposite side of the spectrum with SC2 and Super Meatboy paying homage to the classic formula of gameplay>all. Also Heavy Rain pushing boundaries of what you think a game can be. Bayonetta was solid but I'm not sure it deserves to be alongside these other titles. It may just be a nod with GS knowing it won't win.

I am glad super meat boy is in this. It should also be nominated for best game no one played. I rarely see user reviews for it. I will be happy no matter what on this list wins. They were all great games, and I congratulate all of the nominees.

lol thtas all?! that are the nomines?! starcraft II was good - ok - but what about the rest?! there are a lot of games missing - donkey kong is the best game of the year - starcraft ii is the only real game in the list, but the rest more or less sucks. and why?! bayonetta ... maybe its ok - but its just another type of hack & slash games and it doesn't work as good as god of war which isn't in the list too. Guess its just a question of time till i have to leave this site forever - everything here is breaking. But why? it was a good site 2-3 years ago, why is everything going down. Oh and Meat Boy isn't as good as donkey kong country returns. but as it have to be its rated as good as all the other overrated games. Gamespot should fire the one who rated donkey kong - everyone who played this game says its just perfect. and even people who don't really play often can't stop playing - its just one of the best games from the last 10 years and its working as good as it should.

Alan Wake is the best. Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2 are 2nd and 3rd.

BFBC2 i guess...i would have picked GOW3 but they didnt even have it up for nomination? ok...i love BFBC2, one of the best shooters i've ever played.

goty goes to rdr hands down , i mean seriously you have blast just on horseback while trying to go to missions plenty of stuff to do, ive had it since the day it came out and im still not bored with it (dnt get the wrong message though cuz some of the nominees are pretty good but wats up with meat boy that game sucked ive played all nominees and my vote goes to rdr (ftw) if u havnt played it and u thumbs down this comment then u have clearly never had played the game/ should be ashaimed ur missin out in a master piece of a game trust me it wouldnt be a nominee for more than one categorey for nothin

out of the nominees, i've played halo reach, RDR, and bad company 2. halo reach was good, but it just felt like more of the same (like how black ops didn't change much over mw2). and while BC2 is my favorite game ever, the single player is just ok, and i was expecting much more from the destruction mechanic. RDR is amazing, though i haven't played it in a while. i'm torn, but so long as BC2 or RDR win, i'll be happy. really, most of the nominees deserve to be up there.

Halo Reach Mass Effect 2 Super Mario Galaxy Has to be one of those 3. I never played RDR but I heard it was good but I really doubt it would beat those 3 titles!

And Bayonetta looked extremely retarded. Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Black Ops should be on there they both had much better storylines.
