Not any weapon Dragoon, doesn't effect snipers or shotguns. So just Assault rifles, LMG and SMG.

Wow I had no idea you could get the M1 just for buying Battlefield 1943. Good thing I did.
Well, that's what they said in some interview.
But either way, if it only takes 2 games to get Vet 1, so 1943 + BC2 = Vet

The fire rate, power and range all differ, but in minimal amounts that makes them all different from each other, but all operate generally the same compared to other weapons.

how long does it take to unlock all of the assulat weapons and gadgets would y ou say?

Well it takes 47,000 xp to unlock everything in the assault class and this guy in the live stream just got 1,900xp as assault after playing a whole round so a good while I would think.
