Ive read through most of the user reveiws on this site and have noticed that all of the people that gave this game a very high rating have not had much, (if any) experience in the battlefield series before. I eagerly awaited the arrival of this game after playing Bad company 2 for the last 2 years. (by the way I only play these games for multiplayer). The Bad Company 2 multiplayer is flawless (and Vietnam add on). Its the best multiplayer game ive ever played and the best game on ps3.
They said this was going to be better... Anyway to cut a long story short, The game is still fun, but fails to improve on BBC2 in every way. The gameplay is a lot more sluggish, the menu system is a complete pain in the ####! Going prone only forces players to camp enabling you to die cheaply. I can see the makers have tried to "wow" us with some pretty extreme maps, but still doesnt cut it. The game engine on BBC2 was never broken so why change it? To me it feels like this game is also trying to cater for the COD crowd, but unfortunately a lot of battlefield purists wont keep playing this.
The game actually feels more like medal of honor than battlefield at times, but just with the battlefield structure.
Anyway dont get me wrong, its still one of the better multiplayers out there, but it does not improve on BBC2, and for the high price I would hold out for a while. And for all you newbies to the battlefield series also reviewing this game,,- do yourself a favour - get BBC2 and play that, before you say how great this game is.
