BF3 Is anything and everything a multiplayer shooter SHOULD be.

User Rating: 10 | Battlefield 3 PC
Note: The battlefield series (not bad company) was built on multiplayer without any campaign needed. I am assuming that you are a multiplayer FPS player and am reviewing this game based upon that.

Graphics: AMAZING...but you will get what you pay for. If your computer has a great setup and video card this game will blow you away. If your computer is lacking....then it will look like a console (ps3 xbox360) game... The PC version Dominates with details. Light (like from the sun) is a factor, including smoke, dust, debris... Your use of light can hide a sniper. Scope glare/reflection can blend in if you hide near lights.

Sound: its Bf3...nuff said. Great. Lack of an ingame party chat does hurt though. They do allow you to form partys from outside of the game and voicechat through the bf3 website while the game is running. Having to add a person as a party member makes talking to squad mates more difficult. You cant just plug your mic in and speak to your teammates you have to add them in a seperate lobby...

Control: its PC...nuff said. Great.

Gameplay:

Tactics: This game is can be played like a chess match and BF3 gives you all the tools needed to get as tactical as you want. Squads of four players. Recon/engineer/assualt/support. Every soldier has its role.

Spot Feature: A spot button allows players to highlight enemy soldier locations to their teammates with a marker. Spotted kills are rewarded with a bonus.

Suppression: Suppressive fire is finally rewarding. Lets say your a machine gunner and your firing rounds to pin down an opponent hiding behind a crate. Not only will it allow your teammate to move to a more tactical position ( like setting up a flank) but your fire on the targets hiding place actually causes their screen to slightly BLUR. Which means Suppressive fire is useful in setting up tactical movements....Amazing.

Campaign: Honestly its been one of my favorite campaigns up to date...

Overall: I give this game a perfect 10. Simply because I know the small features like party chat can be patched. The core of the game itself is done perfectly. Good luck and see you on the Battlefield!

Note: The console version does this game no justice...
