Multiplayer military FPS meets winning.
Overall however, where the campaign shines in it's subtleties. Aside from the technical and visual brilliance of the Frostbite 2 engine, the voice acting, sound bites, and little things that most other military shooters don't bother to include can all be found in the campaign, which truly shows how much care was put into designing every inch of this game.
Anyways, whether you enjoy the campaign or no, it's best to regard it like most BF purists do: a pleasant bonus to an already immaculate game. The sheer volume of different things to do is almost overwhelming at first, and at first I felt like a kid who had just discovered a jungle gym the size of Costco.
All-in-all, Whether you like this game or not, it is imperative that you experience multiplayer in this game, for that is where the masterpiece that is Battlefield 3 exists.
