A very immersive multiplayer, amazing customization but unfortunately a poor campaign.

User Rating: 8.5 | Battlefield 3 PC
Battlefield 3 published by EA and designed by DICE is an incredibly aesthetically pleasing game. The campaign was short, but fun and the multiplayer is all round madness in the best possible way.

campaign starts of with a big long f**k of cinematic intro that shows of the new FROSTBITE 2 engine to then begin with a rather quick, easy mission that is really designed for you to work out what the controls are. Basically, with talking to much about the campaign, it was short, the AI wasn't really up to notch and in all truth, it was boring after several hours.

It really lacked a believable story line, it was one extreme to the other, just with a bunch or retarded AI guys following and attacking you. There isn't many weapons you can find in the campaign unlike the mulitplayer but to balance it out the games graphics, animations and sounds were flawless, when you jumped over fence it really felt like you really did, the animations with the addition of the sound just made it feel life like.

There is 3 things you're able to do in in BF3 with the use Origin and they are: Campaign, Multiplayer and the very addictive CO-OP. The CO-OP includes 6 maps which take about 20 minuites each and can unlock guns for multiplayer, by doing this people are almost forced to try it and helps people understand the amount of sh*t you can do online with this game and Origin! It unfortunately it only supports 2 players, but it's a very welcomed addition to the game.

Now to what you'll be buy this game for, the mulitplayer, the multiplayer is unlike any other FPS multiplayer I've ever heard of or played, it's just madness! Playing 32v32 large conquest is nuts, there is heaps of jets and helicopters in the sky killing each other and if you get a good pilot in a helicopter, you may as well shot yourself, those things rape sh*t even if your just crossing a street.

there is a plentiful supply of online games you can play. There are eight different mulitplayer modes to play, EIGHT! and than that can expands, you can choose, hardcore, normal or infantry only you can choose the game size which ranges from 16 player all the way to massive 64 player games, there is also an option to filter the map you want, you can choose from 13 maps (assuming you have the new DLC) and then there is the advance filter settings that can do things like whether there is kill cam, squad spawning or even if there is large 3d maps.

But all this is in the controversial new game manager, 'Origin' which, in my opinion, kicks ass. But with the initial release of Origin being hell on earth, there was so many glitches, people gave up and stigma's were created that will take time to dissolve, but in time people with thing origin is the future.
When opening BF3 in Origin, it doesn't launch the game, it launches a browser, this was rather annoying at the start but now that I'm use to it, it's great!! I can look at my stats and my friends stats and even compare in seconds with out having to go threw millions of menus.

The gameplay itself is extremely immersive, you're able to choose whether you in a game with vehicles or not, but I'd certainly recommend playing Large Conquest first. You can choose from a large array of vehicles such as tanks heavy or light, buggies, helicopters, jets, trucks and even bulldozers. with all these driving and flying about the game can get rather crazy but still, it's all balanced and works out fine. The vehicle handling is pretty hard especially helicopters and jets as they tend to dominate if there is a good pilot.

One other problem with vehicles though is if you just got in a helicopter and you just started playing you'll be shot down instantly, you need to be good at flying or there is not point, i'd recommend CO-OP first, there is a mission there that will help.

you can really plot the way you move about in this game online and whats best, it really doesn't support campers, you're able to pull out a sniper and stay in the one spot if you'd like but you're an idiot if you do, you have 5 minutes tops before you've been marked and blown up buy an Abrams, so you're always needing to move and plan where you're going. You can really dominate a game buy doing this with your friends if you mics, you can plot everything you do, flush out snipers, team kill a tank, capture and secure points, very fun.

The customization with each gun type, Recon(sniper), Assault (assualt riffle), Engineer (automatic) and Support (turrent thing) are just mindbogglingly insane!! there is so much you can customization and unlocks available. there is about 5 guns to each class and they can have 20 things you can unlock for them, it takes days to do one gun meaning plenty of fun hours untill you're king.

Battlefield 3 really was an success, the multiplayer and CO-OP online are flawless. Although the campaign lacked a lot of things I believe the game is worth getting and is deserving of a score of 8.5. congratulations DICE on another great FPS Title.

Ohhhh boy am I excited to see command and conquers new game with this engine!
