Truly one of the greatest games ever made.

User Rating: 10 | Battlefield 2 PC
This for me was a game that was heads above the rest when I first looked at PC gaming. As I said in my review of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, this was a game I wanted to play more than anything and even now after playing it for a good 2 or 3 maybe even 4 years it still hasn't worn thin on me yet.
Yes, theirs been times when I've been frustrated with punk buster and huge patches but those days have been a few amongst many.

I remember getting my mates to all buy this game then giving one of them a graphics card so he could join us in a 6 player LAN against 25 odd bots in my mates dining room. We spent the entire weekend choppering each other around, covering one another as we took flag after flag. The immense fun we had in those 50 odd hours, now I think back, it was the same weekend that Michael Jackson died which we only found out when we had to go back to 6th form on the Monday.

Not only is this still my favorite game of all time, but it has a mod that we all went onto play as well. Project Reality. If you haven't played or even heard of this mod then where have you been. It effectively makes Battlefield 2 more realistic and tactical, basically how it was meant to be. Playing that with my friends caused an awesome day or two when we were supposed to be revising for A levels into a right old laugh when we were trying to be all tactical and sneaky, it ended up with us taking an A-10, a little bird gunship and a tank to decimate the over whelming 30 bots that we had against us.

Unfortunately with finishing my education I haven't really got the time to spend days lanning with my mates anymore but whenever we get a bank holiday or a break from our jobs its straight onto Strike at Karkand with 30 extreme bots.
