I cant make a BF2 account, to go online...

So i just got BF2 collection and installed all the expansions and boosters. next thing i had to do was make BF2 account to play online and then register the boosters, right? simple. i tried playing a bit on single player to see if it worked first. it was fine. so i tryed to create an account but it said that the name i chose already existed. so changed the name abit. tried again and it said that an account name already exists with that email. WTF! i have tried different names and different passwords but nothing... i am totally at a loss here.

I think I encountered this like a year ago an i ended up making 2 accounts lol -__- but im pretty sure you have created your online account even though it said that it already existed but hey its been awhile so i could be wrong.

well if it says that i have an account already then i should be able to just login with that account like i do with a "single-player" account. but there is only the default account for offline single-player battles. any suggestions?
