Exciting and fun, but nothing special.

While this isn't the most exciting game you'll play in ages, the game modes are exciting and interesting. There are only three islands as playable levels. They're all very malaeable for combat, and the different variants of combat modes can keep you playing for awhile, especially if you're a big fan of multiplayer. While they can become tiring after many sessions of play, it can also remain exciting to be locked in a heated firefight with the people you encounter.
Beyond this though, the game is fairly drab. It looks pretty, it works, fine, and handles like you'd expect your average PS3 game to play. But that's just it: it's average. Ordinary. Typical. There is nothing about this game that stands out. It's just a game riding the fence that separates the median between exciting and bland. Intriguing and fun, but nothing special.
