After playing BF3, I can't get used to the crappy graphics and controls.
No option for inverted controls for flying = FAIL.

Is this a lame attempt at trolling, or are you serious?  There IS an option for inverted controls during flight, and the graphics are SUPPOSED to have more of a cartoon-ish feel to them because that's how the game was designed.

I bet what he's really mad about is that he couldn't get any kills.

It's supposed to, because it's a $10 downloadable game, and not a full big-budget $60 title.  And that's part of what makes it balanced.  Everyone has the same guns and the same equipment. Planes, jeeps, tanks, turrets, boats, AA guns, large islands, 12 vs 12 matches...the formula may be simple, but there's plenty of replay value if you take the time to learn and get used to the game.  In BF3 I find myself normally just running around the map and trying to shoot or knife people, or using my various gadgets.  In BF1943, I grab a plane and bail out over a flag, kill a couple guys, grab a tank, blast my way into the next base, capture that flag, place C4 on a jeep and take off for another base, etc.

Don't get me wrong, BF3 is very fun, but overall I still prefer BF1943.  Mostly I believe it's because of all different vehicles, and the fact that the maps are much more wide open than those in BF3.

1943 easily looks better than BF3. BF3 has been watered down beyond belief in order to get working on the PS3.

There 'is' an option for inverted controls.

Certified trollpost, 1/10, it's like you didn't even try.

I haven't played BF3 yet but I still regularly play BC2 on PC with a kb/m. It was really difficult at first to adjust to the crappy controller configuration and terrible graphics (and they're terrible - don't kid yourself) but I have and I'm having fun with 1943. It is a good game for what it is.

Colorful, simple graphics =/= terrible graphics. IMO, the original Unreal Tournament for PC has "better" graphics than the PS3 version of BF3... At least UT's graphics were functional, unlike the faded ugly **** I see when putting my BF3 copy in my PS3. BF1943's graphics are more than just functional, they're actually pretty damn good for a small downloadable PS3 game. Too bad the PC version got cancelled; obviously it would have had improved graphics as well as a server browser.

They're not really colourful or simple. Bastion has colourful, simple, and beautiful graphics. 1943 is a full of pixelated jaggy crap resolution textures. I mean the water is fine but I have to literally strain my eyes when I'm looking through fences or trees. Probably would have benefited more if the design team did try for simple ala TF2. Still, for a $10 game you can't really complain.

I agree that Bastion has nice graphics (on PC at least, don't know about PS3)... But BF1943 looks nice to me as well, both on small LCD and huge plasma TVs. Oh well, doesn't matter as long as you're having fun I guess.

I never thought BF1943 has bad graphics.  I have an SDTV and it looks fine.  I think the people who complain about it might be spoiled.

If you play on a large HDTV or sit close to one, you'll easily see that 1943 lacks tons of anti aliasing, which is annoying, but then again, so does BF3 and almost every other multi platform game in existence.

Still, the game has beautiful bloom and no gritty, witty grey filters, making way for bright tropical colors.
