Great artwork, lousy game play.

I was waiting for months for this game but once I picked up my copy, I had a hard time with controlling and playing the characters. I've went through 4 character's storyline and the arcade mode and had some tough time getting through them. Seemed like more a chore than fun. What I disliked was that the character roster is small.

Speaking of storyline, they all seem pretty generic, short and left with, "WTF, that's it?". Then again, many fighting games don't give you a solid storyline anyways. I just suspected the direction the game was going you get more story out of it.

The positive thing about this game is that I like the health gauge acting like an HP meter you see in many RPG games and the artwork of the game. Though the 3D backgrounds are falling a bit. I see this game more being a PS2 game than a 360/PS3 game.

The game isn't a total waste but not for $40, see it more of a $20 or less game. Rent it if you can, if not pass.
