Another game trying to copy Street Fighter's success + Scary, Old, Blood-Sucking men = ...

User Rating: 6.5 | Toshinden S SAT
Storyline: 7/10
The story is probably more for fans of the series, so I won't criticize it.

Game play: 6/10
For people who play Street Fighter, the moves do not have to be executed NEARLY as fast as you're used to. The computers can be cheap, but so can you. If you add that up with 3-special-movesets, you get less-than-stellar game play.

Play-back: 5/10
After you play through once, you'll come crawling back to Capcom's Hadouken-filled goodness.

Secrets/Unlockables: 8/10 (Possible Spoilers)
You can unlock 3 boss characters: One that's slow as poo, and the other that's just a copy of another char (I haven't played as the other one yet), but that's still a whole lot more than many other Saturn games can say.

Graphics: 6/10
Looking back, the graphics are laughably bad, but at the time I'm sure they were state-of-the-art. >_> The Anime-style scenes between fights make up for the rest of it… a very little bit.

Sound: 4/10
This is about as annoying as sounds get. After hearing an old dude atop an energy ball screaming his battle cry and "Deadly Ray" one too many times, nails on a chalk board sounded good, for a change.

Cons:
It tries to copy other successful fighting games such as Street fighter and Fatal Fury, but fails miserably.

Total: 6.5/10

My advice: Find an arcade with this game and try it first. It'll probably satisfy you as much as having it would.
