Not a great game, only if you love the old cartoonish Batman.

Gameplay: bleh, REPETITIVE. yeah, its almost expected for a standard beat-em-up, but i'm comparing everything to my new Teen Titans game, lol, that actually did things the right way by offering variety, lots of upgradable moves and combos, and the ability to change characters at will. This game offers none of that. Well, it has alot of moves you can upgrade to, so that takes away from the repetition a little, but it still can get pretty boring. The controls are consistent, but slow. Like the TMNT game, you can only pick your character ahead of the game and play only with them. You can pick b/w Batman, Nightwing, Batwoman and Robin. The repetition takes away from the fun factor alot, though because the game looks pretty good, its nice to look at along the way. Graphics: pretty good, all standard 3-D. This game is based off the 90's cartoon TV series, so it looks pretty much like, but in 3-D. Sound: not so good on my PS2, i had to turn the volume nearly all the way up on my TV to hear it. the music has a 70's funk vibe goin on, and it can get annoying after awhile. At least they tried to be original, lol. Nothing special in the way of sound effects when fighting, pretty repetitive. Value: all beat-em up games have decent replay value if u just like to beat things up and your in a cool environment to do it in. So this has some of that, plus trying different characters to beat the game in. But the non challengin, somewhat boring and repetitive gameplay takes alot away from that. The game is also fairly short, about what you'd expect from a cartoonish beat em up. I'd only recommend this game to fans of the cartoon show, and its pretty cheap, as most kiddy games are.
