This game is like a throwback to classic beat-em-ups from the 1990's. It's a decent game for Batman fans and Action fans

Alright, this is a good game. It's not the best Batman game out there, but it's a decent addition to the franchise.

Now, I've never really been a Batman fan, but when I saw the trailer for this game 7-8 years ago, I thought it looked really cool.
Also, I always thought it was nice that you could play as Nightwing and Robin.
Because I always liked Robin more than Batman, I decided I wanted to get the game.

Graphics: Since this game is based off The New Batman Adventures, the backgrounds and characters fit right into the style. Some people might consider the graphics to look a bit "wonky", but it's based off a cartoon. There's not much to complain about.

Sound: The music does get a bit repetitive and annoying, and it seems like it's just not there. However, further into the game, the music seems to get better. But it loops over and over through every stage in the level, except for the boss. Also, the voice acting isn't top-notch, but it's passable.

Concept: I'm gonna make this a quick as possible. Basically, some guy from Asia named Sin Tzu is finding ways to cause havoc all over Gotham City and it's Batman's responsibility to put his tyranny to an end. Basic stuff, right?

Enemies: First, I'm gonna talk about the bosses. You get Clayface, Scarecrow, Bane (I think someone else) and of course, Sin Tzu. The main enemies in the game vary. In Sin Tzu's main levels, you get guys who look like Reptile and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat. Others are basically stereotypical-looking burglars.

Replay Value: Not very high. The game itself is pretty boring. The only exciting parts for me, were the bosses and when you have to defeat a certain amount of enemies without dying. Basically, most of the game is just going around rescuing civilians before the time runs out. It's like a pattern; Save civilians, fight goons.

There is some other stuff that is unlockable, such as Comic Covers, Character models, Bonus videos, Alternate Outfits and other things.

Level Style: The layout of the game is mostly just like this: Fight some dudes, save civilians. Navigate here, fight some dudes. Save civilian, fight the boss. It gets repetitive quickly, but still, it's a decent game.

Gameplay: You get four characters to choose from: Batman, Nightwing, Robin and Batgirl. They all play the same, somewhat.

For example, you can collect these glowing red balls that appear when you take down an enemy. Collect enough of these to fill the red bar below your health. This is your "Power Combo" meter. When it gets full, you can hold an attack button and your character will throw something that resembles a Falcon Punch or a powerful kick. Once this is done, the Combo meter will slowly decrease.

There's also a variety of gadgets combos you can buy with points you earn from playing the game.
But for the most part, they have their own attributes.

Nightwing relies on strength, but he's also pretty versatile; basically meaning he's a slightly faster Batman.

Robin is very fast, but pretty weak in combat. Still, he's easy to get used to and can be maneuvered pretty easily.

Batgirl is speedy, much like Robin. In fact, haven't really noticed much of a difference between the two. Except she's a girl.

Batman is the strongest and the slowest, but he's still fun to play as. It's almost like they perfected him on purpose and the others are just for show.

The game can get pretty difficult at times, and you might often end up using cheats to get through some of the levels.
Also, it seemed like the game was a bit short, due to the lack of bosses.

They pretty much just made the final boss really hard and filled the extra space with more enemies.
I would have liked to see other Batman villains in the game like The Riddler or Killer Croc. Or even the classic Joker!

In conclusion; this is a fun game, but much like the Classification above, I would rent it first.
