I wouldn't wish this game on my worst enemy

User Rating: 1 | Batman Forever SNES
It's been more than a decade since I've played this but I still remember how bad it is. It's really hard to believe that anyone could have screwed up a game to this degree. They were either trying to make a terrible game, they didn't know what they were doing, or they just didn't try.

First of all the controls make no sense whatsoever. The combinations are all over the place. It took me 30 minutes just to figure out how to get the grappler to shoot straight up so I could get to the second floor of the first level. I finally figured that part out I had to spend a few more minutes finding exactly the right place to use it. That's right-- you have to use your grappler in exactly the right spot in order to get to the second floor of the first stage.

I never got past the first or second level of the game as by the time I got that far, it was time to return the game to the rental store I got it from. I'm just glad it was only a rental and that I didn't pay full price for it. Why couldn't this game be more like Batman Returns for the SNES where the controls were intuitive and the level design wasn't crap? I'm not saying it had to be an exact same thing, but they could've at least used it and other good games of the same genre as a reference.

Bottom Line: I can't think of any redeaming quality about this game whatsoever. It is to the SNES as Superman 64 is to the Nintendo 64. I REALLY wish that I could give this game a rating of 0 but I guess that even that's too high.
