Batman Begins was a great film and almost all films get a game adaptation of it, Batman Begins is no exception. Batman Begins tells the story of how Bruce Wayne bacame the crime-fighting figure known by the criminals as Batman. He strikes fear in his enemies and uses the environment around him to his advantage. The game follows the same idea and does it really well.
There's a sort of tutorial mission at the begining of the game that tells you how to get around obstacles and take out the enemys; which is very basic and easy to learn but fun too. The you get straight into the action when you have to take down the thugs of Gotham. The game plays very much like Splinter Cell, you have to sneak around, go up behind guys to take them out and scare them so the odds of you winning are higher. There's stealth in the game but when you mess up in the stealth, the mission isn't over (unlike Splinter Cell) it just means that you have to take on the baddies in exciting hand to hand combat. There's a variety of moves you can pull off but the combos aren't something you need to know, you can button bash your way through most the bad guys (on hard mode you have to think about it as your fighting). The enemy AI is quite good, they flank you and block and attack when the time is right.
Batman doesn't have any super powers but he does have a LOT of money, so he buys gadgets. He has a grapling hook type thing, a hacking device for machines, a lock pick, grenades and the very handy Batarang. There are also two missions where you can drive the BatMobile and when you have completed those missions, you can play them whenever you want.
The graphics are really good, Batman's cape moves very stylishly when your moving about and fighting. And Batan looks nasty when he interrigates the thugs.
The bad thing about this game is the length, it took me about 6 hours to complete in total and there isnt much replay value. the unlockables are quite good, you get 4 bat costumes to try on and play the game with and theres tons of movie clips to watch but their more like a quick way of very briefly telling the story. if you haven't seen the film then you probably wont understand whats going on in the game's story because it isn't very well explained.
Batman Begins is a short game but is well worth a rental at least.

The overall game is pretty solid, but this game is too short.
