Gah, Batman you psychologically-demented strange person. As I grow to understand Batman more and more, I become increasingly frustrated. The Batman: Does. Not. Kill. It's a fundamental aspect of his character, and it raises many important moral questions. Is it the right thing to do? Is it overly self-righteous? Is it something that should be respected and is he a paragon of discipline? Needless to say, the guy -frustrates- me.
But no matter how much he does, I cannot help but admit he's consistent. He's well developed, and game pushes these buttons on purpose, and seeing my response, it means that it was quite effective. And this isn't even getting to the gameplay portion of my review (which only makes things better).. In short, what I'm saying is the game touches on some philosophical issues that intrigue me.
Now in terms of technicalities, OK, wow we're going to have a drunken party. Gorgeous visuals, great voice-acting, very cool movesets, awesome combat, good pacing. Like Arkham Asylum, this game is pretty much a standard for 'well made all around game'. Everything is downright solid. Super hero fans everywhere will be jealous of Batman-lovers, because -they- consistently get what they want... an authentic Batman-esque experience. Spiderman I'm looking at you... *shrug*
In short, if you like good games, and superheros, you really can't go wrong here. But I'm sure you guys all know this already, haha. It's such a given. Batman, hats off to you, you miserable broodling!
