I am trying to play the hard new game "Continue Story Plus" and I find this is very hard might be a waste of my time or I am doing some thing wrong. This link helped me a lot "help with combos please".

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/981374-batman-arkham-city/61841307

But it talkes a lot of button mashing to win a fight I am 68 yrs old a long time gamer. I love FPS games but I had Heart Bypass Surgery and some of the new games I feel will give you a heart attack.

Is anyone having a good time playing this "Continue Story Plus" or is it just to dam hard.
    Thanks Phil

I find combat easier when I don't button mash. Learn to read the crowd. Look for the 1-3 guys running at you that you need to counter. You'll start to notice how the AI behavior is timed in such a way that you can start to pick apart their patterns. Prioritize your targets to use your special moves on. Instant take down armored thugs and weapon disarm shield and stun batons. Learn the timing for doing knife take downs, you only need to tap Y on the first knife swipe which will line up the camera for you to hold away from the thug and tap it two more times, four for ninjas.

After a while you become almost untouchable. If all that is still to hard try getting your combo up high enough till its red and time slows down, you'll almost never need to counter if you keep flying across the room from one thug to another.

Thanks for the info but I do fine playing the game it's when I went to pay Batman Plus have you tried this it's insane. Yesterday I had all the knife guys dead and there were 5 guys left and I lost.

It's the level in Batman Plus in the Gladiator Pit more then 20 guys your fighting. I would like to hear from someone that beat this.

I have been at this for days now about 2 to 3 hr.'s / day at the most. I have been playing games for over 40 yrs.

Yes I am older now slower but to me for a game Co. to even put such a hard level in this Plus game is to me nuts.

I am going to try this one more time and If I can't win I for the first time if my life playing games will give up.

Don't mash - alternate, and press deliberately. Hit one guy, then doubletap A to Redirect over his head. Then hit another guy. Swap in Disarm and Destroy (X+Y) or Special Combo Takedowns (B+Y) as necessary. Rinse, repeat, watch as your combo counter hits triple digits....

I don't have much I can do after having heart bypass surgery and it all went bad I was put in a coma for 14 weeks long story. After coming too I needed to learn how to think and talk even walk again.

But the dam Dr.'s put me on Statin Drugs yet I never had high Chol. in my life and I did not want to take them drugs because I feel all this crap about Chol. and the heart is Bull.

So the heart Dr. went behind my back and told my wife and kids if I did not take them Drugs I would not live out the yr. More Bull over the 2 yrs I was on Statin Drugs I was in more and more pain and each time I seen my Dr.'s I told them so. Yet they would not take me off them meds until I could no longer stand up or walk.

So now I am on a lot of pain when I stand up or try to walk and I am a mod for men's health at Yahoo this keeps me busy but on slow days I love to play my 360 Xbox. But the love of my life was been FPS games but some of the new ones will give you a heart attack.

So I have been playing less stressful games but they help full my time with something to do.

Pmgamer, I'm sorry for the event that happened to you. Concerning the statins, there are frequent situations in medicine where criteria for treatment change very significantly depending on diseases, major events (e.g. heart attacks, strokes, etc.), previous surgeries, allergies, other currently used medications, and so on. Your doctor will probably be best able to answer this question though. If it causes a lot of stress and maybe distrust between you and your doctor, it would probably be best if you had a serious discussion with him/her. Otherwise, you could get a second opinion with a different doctor depending on what your health insurance allows. Good luck.

An easy way to work around the no counter icons would be to get a hit or 2 and then double tap "A" to evade over them, it may take longer but you'll get there. Also, always use the instant takedown when you reach the appropriate multiplier. Good Luck.

What I learned in Arkham Asylum is to not button mash. When you do this you can throw Batman into an animation and when you need to counter you can't because Batman's already doing something. Take it one button at a time and plan your moves in advance.

Plus vaulting helps to get you around while maintain your combo.
