Batman Arkham Asylum is, for me, one of the best adventure/action games that came out in 2009. Let´s find why....
Story: Batman Arkham Asylum have a great story. Kevin Conroy makes a great performance as the Batman, but the one that steals the show is Mark Hamill with his amazing performance as The Joker. The story is simple, Batman has captured The Joker and he is going to return him to Arkham Asylum, but Joker escapes and the hell breaks loose in Arkham with all the psychos free. The objective is simple, you need to restore the order in Arkham Asylum and stop The Joker. you will encounter a some of well known Batman enemies, like Bane, Harley Quinn, The Scarecrow, etc. Story is great, the pacing is good but it also has some flaws and let downs.
Graphics: Graphically speaking, Batman Arkham Asylum have very good graphics that are supported by Unreal Engine 3. The artistic style and the details make for a great violent and mysterious atmosphere. Sometimes the textures took a while to load but, as I said, it was only sometimes.
Gameplay: I really enjoyed the gameplay of Arkham Asylum, it felt that I was actually the Batman, it was great! The combat system is great and simple but sometimes it gets a little repetitive. The combat is simple you make attacks and counter attacks to build up awesome combos.In Batman Arkham Asylum you are not only in combat, you can also approach enemies by sneaking, it also pretty good, hiding in the shadows seeing my foes getting a lot of fear and getting crazy. You can also explore the Island of Arkham Asylum and make and collect all the Riddler´s challenges and trophy's.
I am going to be honest, when I heard that was a Batman game coming out, I was not expecting a great tittle, but then I saw the pics. and the trailers and I was looking forward to it. When I played it, damn! I was not expecting this level of epicness and it totally surprised me, I totally recommend this tittle to everyone and specially for Batman Fans.
