Revised Review: I don't know what I was thinking...Great game.

Best comic book game of all time? The controls are clunky as hell. Fighting consist of tapping x as fast as you can. (Oooo slow motion...) Detective mode is annoying: I want to stay in it all the time so as not to miss secrets and it's easier to spot enemies, but I also want to see the regular graphics. Another problem I have is having to press a button to run: Why? If I can just crouch to move sliently, what's the point in me having to remember to press a button ro get to some thug blasting me with a shotgun? Half the time I'm moving at zombie speed toward the guy to kill him then remember I need to hold down A. So far it sounds like I hate this game, but I don't. And, to be fair, I only played this for about 4 hours or so. And it is a pretty game. the voice acting is pretty solid. Also, I love how they got the Batman: Animated Series/Justice League Batman voice actor to do it. The game play is pretty damn weak. And no matter what: that is the most important feature of a game. 9.0? 9.3? Seriously? Wolverine was a ton more fun to play, as was Spiderman: Web of Shadows. Did all the critics get bribed or brainwashed by the hype? I just don't get it.

Edit: After a year or so, I tried this game out again. I'm...not really sure what I was thinking back when I first reviewed this game. Maybe I was having a really bad day or something. Anyway, pretty much forget about all the garbage I wrote above. Great game. It's obvious the developers/writers have some serious love for the Batman mythos. (I have also revised my score from the absurd 6.5 I gave it before to the rightful 9.0 it deserves.)
