User Rating: 10 | BASIC Programming (Special Edition) 2600
I was pretty young during the Atari 2600 era. I was old enough to enjoy Space Invaders, Tanks, and even Adventure. I really didn't know what the hell I was supposed to do with BASIC programming. And to tell you the truth, I still don't. It was a good thought to try to mix the atari 2600 with education, creating what's now known as "edutainment". But I'm not sure exactly what you were supposed to do with BASIC programming. What did you program? Were you supposed to create games? Cartoons? A text adventure? I really don't know. I'd kind of like to see a current, updated version of this for current consoles. But then again, maybe not, because it would most likely just produce an even bigger glut of crappy 'homebrew' games. And trust me, we don't want that. Leave video game making to the developers please. If I want low budget gaming, I'll get a 2600 retro console, or something.
