A way underappreciated game that makes use to an action packed and tragic storyline. Barbarian is a game like no other!

The storyline starts out when a man named Zaugg has placed 3 pillars throughout the land that are drining the world of Barbaria of life giving him more power. Now 10 people have been trying to stop the evil Zaugg. Barbarian is a fun fighting game game that I reccomend. Gamespot underrated it. Its fun you can pick up other people and beat the living crap out of people. Everyone has unique abilities and spells and can get new ones on story mode. Levels are huge. you can hit people off of cliffs and go to a new level and you can even pick up every object on the screen and climb up things! awesome! Storylines of characters were also done good. this game is not bad so buy it or at least rent it. Oh and I almost forgot eight people can be on the screen at once how cool. When you start off in storymode you will play 1 of 10 characters and discover there own unique storyline. You can customize your character buy spending points on increasing stats or buying an ability which is kind of simialer to a roleplaying game. There is a total of 300 different storybranches in this game. In order to discover there whole storyline you will need to play the game over and over choosing different paths to go to. My favorite character is Dagan. The gameplay is full of action and plenty of enviromental moves. The game has its own look and interseting designs that makes its graphics look good. The game has a soundtrack that really sounds like a soundtrack that maches a barbarian and the voice acting is really good. The voice acting is so good that it has a really good mood to it. There are some reasons to play the game over. Playing the game over allows you to play as your character in a different story branch or to just play as a new character. There is a multiplayer that can up have 4 players and 4 thugs on the screen at once. You can play as your customized character in the multiplayer mode and you can explore the huge levels in barbarian.
Barbarian is overall a pretty cool fighting game. Its action packed' enviromental' has a sweet barbarian like soundtrack' 300 different story branches' and a huge story to discover. Anyone who likes enviromental fighting games has got to try this out.
