A fun hand held Banjo-Kazooie experience.

Quick Review: Banjo's first hand held experience captures some of what makes his other grand adventures so fun. The game takes place shortly after the first N64 game and Grunty is up to no good of course. She is back and now sporting a robot body after falling from her lair and to make matters worse she is trying to use time travel to make Banjo and Kazooie never meet. So for the first hour or so of this 5 hour long game, Banjo is on his own to try and figure out how to get Kazooie back.

He isn't exactly alone though. An old mole that takes the role of Bottles in this game is here to teach Banjo how to do different moves and guide him to multiple areas. In true Rare fashion though, the mole won't help without some notes to pay for his troubles.

Throughout the course of the game Banjo and Kazooie will run into plenty of familiar faces and have to collect jiggies, notes, mumbo tokens and more. It's a true collect-a-thon. Which is just fine but it can occasionally be repetitive. The game shines in plenty of ways though. Most of the duo's moves from their N64 days are fully in tact and add plenty of depth to this adventure.

Overall, if you happen to spot this game in a bargain bin somewhere you should check this game out, especially if you are a Banjo fan.
