After following dev blog for almost two years I finally had a chance to play Banished. And I'm happy to say, it fulfilled my expectations 100%.
The game is an absolute must-have for every tycoon/city-builder fan. It's better than SimCity on almost every level... Not that SimCity is something to compare to, but it makes you wonder, how is that possible that one man could achieve something that a whole big studio couldn't even get near to.
If I would have to point out some shortcomings, I would say there isn't that much to do after you have your city all set up. But knowing the commitment of the author that he showed us on his dev blog during last couple of years, I'm certain there we'll be much more content added to the game soon. Not to mention mods that can make this game one of the best in genre history. At least I hope so.
