@FOBIO sure it will be great... bsides the downloadable content will be pretty impressive knowing everybody likes pop music (you want to face it or not) but it will surely be waaaay expensive D:

i think its good there branching out, alot of ppl have the guitars in there house but dont want just rock music. I would like to see an indie version released myself. Get the chart bands and english bands- oasis, the kooks, the stone roses, the enemy. I would buy that

Some of you are missing the point, this isn't aimed at the hardcore "I can't leave my bedroom" players, this is for people who want accesibility, a bit of fun with their friends and kids who would like to play music they know. Does it hurt to think outside the box and do something a little different...that's why it's probably got a different name

WHERES MY TECHNOOOOO!! WHEN WILL HARMONIX GO BACK TO ITS ROOTS OR AT LEAST ACTIVISION NEEDS TO START ON TECHO GAMES. I am tired of alll these rock and roll games too many for my taste. something diffrent for once please. It would be nice if they made a Keyboard hero will bee cool teach ya how to read notes and all that.

@ davegrams I totally agree with you. Even though I love Guitar Hero what they were missing a lot were the 90's on up songs that I love. This is different than what they were putting out so yeah change is good at this point.

Must say, I'm a big fan of the Guitar Hero series so I'm not so fussed that another game is being released in the franchise. However, why rename the game when it looks (from this footage) to be exactly the same... Same note charts... Same characters... (With the addition of Taylor Swift and some others) Same gimmicks as past games (Celebrity guests since GH3, jump in play and any combination from GH5 etc. etc.) If it's exactly the same... Why not Guitar Hero 6? They're certainly already making enough of them... Also, not saying the music choice is bad... But diversity is something they've tried to achieve... So why just focus on pop now? The title's a bit redundant though considering Rock Band 1 & 2 + The Beatles, Guitar Hero 4, 5, Metallica and Smash Hits plus others soon to come out have used the band staple already... Anyways, not hating. Love the series, just a bit weirded out by their methods. But it makes em money and keeps fans happy

This is the stuff I've been waiting for. Mainstream music! Finally. This is what RB and GH are missing. They have 'some', but to have a game based around it is what we've been waiting for. Enough of the 70's bands. Time to get up to date... And you say Classic Rock is best? Well.. classic bands were once on the charts also, don't forget. lol

It doesn't look bad. A lot of these songs are in what is GH and RB already (at least as downloads). There is nothing wrong with *insert "band" game name here* with different types of music.

can't be that bad. Huge fan of The All-American Rejects. and some aren't really hardcore rock fans which were in the Guitar Hero series. Also, they're mostly attracting another group of audiences. Might actually buy this, family fun and for the other types of girls to join in.
