The worst of the worst

I'm looking into the character mods for this, and there are quite a few of them. However, I'm not interested in any old character mods - no, I want the worst ones possible. Hell you can put romance mods in too. The Imoen one is moot, since it's not only garbage but I already have it installed but any other ones are all worthy in my eyes

So, reccomend any character/romance mods for me to pile through, especially if you've used them before. Don't hold anything back - I'm a jerk and probably deserve it so gimme your worst

Saerileth

My favourite part of this mod is that the game becomes "Saerileth's Gate; Shadows of Saerileth" with her having something to say about everything not to mention underage paladin "love at first sight" nonsense, ye old speak which like you mentioned is amazingly pretentious, incredibly creepy side quests that are added

But for BG2, there's also seemingly a quite popular romance mod for that drow fellow you meet in the Underdark. I tried it on a whim, and ended up laughing for all the wrong reasons. But then I've never been a fan of angsty bisexual drows, or drows in general, to begin with.

I've not tried it, because I don't really want to start a romance right at the end of the game if I'm putting myself through it. From people who have tried it, I've been told one of the romance talks is about the construction of golems or something? I'll probably try it eventually, but it's not up there

Currently going through Saerilith again to get me up to speed...and probably taking lots of it to help me get through this. My kensai doesn't want to dual for reasons that are unknown to me, so I'm thinking of just moving onto something else. Because lets face it, she sucks

So I can't get the Chloe mod to work properly. I get to the point where you meet her, the golem kills the shadow thieves, Chloe says her line and then she and the golem have an eternal staring contest until I grew bored and knocked the game off. I'm fairly sure something was meant to happen there, but they don't do a thing

I checked the read-me and it mentions getting the patch. thing is, for the life of me I can't find this patch. So does anyone know either A) How to sort this out B) Where to get the patch from or even C) Tell me to stop putting myself through this torture like a moron

I was aiming for my main guy getting some from the 15 year old moron Saeralieth or however you spell her stupid name with her stupid face and stupid Tyr while Imoen goes off with the raging lesbian Chloe (as far as I see, all she can do is rage and lesbian) so everyone ends up happy. Except Minsc and Jaheria, my other two party members. Hmmm, maybe all the free love will loosen them up and Minsc can loosen her up?

Ack, that's practically fanfiction. Godammit. Someone help me here before I do something drastic like tkaing my own life

Yes, that is the patch. I would thank you for it, but you've made me able to play these mods some more so I don't know if I can thank you for doing this to me

True, but I am a bitter and angry person so I'm blaming everyone else for this and all of my other problems

Just got Imoen back now. Ignored Saeristupidface until I finished Mae'var's guild business since she leaves if you do that with her. Idiot. I had enough money after that to buy the Shield of Balduran and pay the 15k price to get Imoen back, so I'm right there. A few things

1) If you're using the Chloe mod and rushing through to get Imoen like I am, you're in trouble. Before you go into the crypts and get the Mace of Disruption you're forced to go and get Aran's daughter back. Yeah, he has a daughter - go figure. Vampires kidnapped her, strong vampires that can only be hurt by +3 weapons

Since the only person in my party at the time who could use +3 weapons well was Chloe, and the three vampires would slaughter her near instantly, I had a choice of either spending a while grinding or Shadowkeepering it. One MoD+2 put in, and they still put up a decent fight, due to their stupid high THAC0 and AC

2) If you're rushing through to get Imoen back with the Imoen romance mod on, she's going to end up with around 50,000 more EXP than your everyone else in your party when you have her back instead of being massively weaker than everyone else

3) Saeristupidjerkface is by far and away the creepiest mod - the Imoen incest mod looks like it was written by Stephen King in comparison. Paedophilia+ Ye Olde English + all the other creepy additions = I HATE THIS STUPID MOD

4) My next playthrough will be an evil Valen+Soulafein, with my guy getting his bone on with the drow. I'm bringing Viconia along because I'm sure she's going to find it absolutely hilarious, but not as much as I will. And by hilarious I mean I'm goint to laugh, proclaim to the world how stupid this is and then weep pathetically

5) The Chloe mod messed up my tweakpack a bit - I had the old BG1 proficiency's on, but when Chloe came back the proficiencies in game changed back to the BG2 ones. Due to this, all the other characters had their weapons put i nrandomly, so Minsc and Yoshimo had Axe's for some reason, even though Yoshimo couldn't use them

However, the game told me that it used the BG2 proficiencies, but it was actually reading the BG1s for THAC0. Even after I shadowkeeper'd all my stats back to normal my THAC0 was higher than the base THAC0. For example...

My main (Cleric/fighter) was using maces. Maces are part of the blunt weapons in BG1, and he had 2 points in them, his THAC0 being around 7 and base THAC0 being 13. After Chloe joined, it went back to the BG2 proficiencies, so he had his points placed in long swords and hammers. I went to shadowkeeper and put his points back in maces, but his THAC0 was 14 and base was still 13

I had to go back into the tweakpack and change the proficiency table back to BG2 before the THAC0 sorted itself out, but it's a bit dumb. Other fun things it did - turned off a few random tweakpack fixes like the Strongholds for every class. THANKS CHLOE'S MOD!

So, if you pretend the incest thing doesn't exist (by arguing that they are only related through the spiritual taint or whatever), how is the actual imoen romance mod? Both technically (i.e., does it mess up your game at all) and asthetically (is it well written or is Imoen sound like she was written by a 14 year old fanboy).

The Imoen romance mod adds a bit more than just WHOA INCEST AND BAD FANFICTION! If you don't romance her then it gives her more talks when you get her back instead of her having almost none, and I guess that isn't so bad.

Although if you do romance her it's not very well written. Someone tried to examine what Imoen was like in BG1 and try to make her like that, except with the whole darkness of Bhaal thing. Adding her feelings for you and it gets kinda sloppy, and it's all packed together tightly since the romance basically runs out after she gets her soul back. Once you leave the Underdark the romance talks stop, and the only way to "finish" the romance is after you get her soul back, and if the repsonses you gave her up to leaving the Underdark were good enough. After that there really isn't much to it

You also get three extra dreams before you reach Spellhold, after the ones you get normally. They are some of the worst things I've ever seen in the game, they are really really bad

Technically, it gives her a massive boost in exp when you get her back (1 million I do believe) which is really helpful in evening her levels out, so if you wanna use Imoen then getting the mod may not be a bad idea if just for this. You can tell her to shut up quite nicely to stop any of the creepy romance early on and you get a few decent enough talks out of it

The Valen mod is that female Vamp fighter / thief NPC, isn't it? I actually liked that one. It would've been nice if she had more dialog, and wasn't quite so strong, but still very snazzy I thought.

Yeah, that's the one. Soulafein is fighter/mage, isn't he? My party for that is gonna be them two Korgan Viconia and Edwin (just because alright?) so I'm gonna have to come up with some class to compliment them. I don't need a thief and I don't need fighter or mage, so I can go for whatever I like for a change instead of it being pretty restricted. I say that yet everyone in my current party except Imoen is more leaning towards physical fighter due to my short sightedness, but whatever!
