Baldur's Gate is a great game. If you want deep characters and moving plots then look elsewhere. If you like a decent storyline from a hack'n Slash game then look no farther. The only real problem I ran into was the fact that for most of the really cool abilities you have to complete the game and then re-import the character into a new game and beat it. This is felt most keenly with the Elf but the Human and Dwarf also have to deal with it to some extent. However the multiplayer is great though there are some slight problems. First off gold isn't shared so if one person gets really greedy there isn't much the other can do to stay well equipped. The other issue is that Exp is shared 60/40 depending on who actually killed it. So if one player can't keep up in body count s/he will suffer for it by being lower level.
