This is a very fun game. Its overheard view (like Xmen and Xmen 2). You can play two people at once but its not going to speed up anything.

The game has a fixed number of monsters, which means a fixed number of experience points and a fixed number of gold.

Dont let this prevent you from buying anything.
I was super conservative playing this and only used the weapons i found after battle, never buying anything. This made the game much longer than it had to be. I had over 150000 gold pieces and could have bought anything, but ended the game with practically leather armour.

You can choose 1 of 3 races (Elf, Dwarf, Human). I recommend being the Elf because its a female and nice to look at.

The story is confusing but maybe tahts because I didnt play the previous ones.

After beating it once, you can zip through it again in a couple of days. Its fun to upgrade the players and levels aren't that long.

Id spend no more that 15 bucks. Maybe 10.

You can defeat practically every creature using one technique, and defeating the final boss there is a way to exploit certain things to make it kinda easy.

After you beat the game there is a 'gauntlet' to complete. Then you can play chaos mode or something like that.
