If you have the choice, pick the lastest in the series for its probably harder than this game.

Game is fun at first but then you start to figure out its super easy on every difficulty. You can play on hard and all you have to do is bomb a hail Mary to a receiver and there's 6 points. Even when your facing a team in season mode that has a super great record soon they'll be falling on their face by 60 points on hard difficulty. If your lucky your defenders will miss a tackle and the other team will actually score in the game. Also its really hard not to go undefeated in a season. Some games you feel like letting the other team score so the game at least looked close. You can basically pick anyone on your team and if it has Pete or someone with 5 stars at running then line them up at receiver.
I stress that the difficulty should of been planned in this game for the cpu is really bad.
I think even playing a two player game, you would still end up with high scores.
Another thing not every team has a star player as a kid. This would of been nice to have.
Also the broadcasting was quite repetitive and things such as Sunny saying "He's running...the 20...the 10..touchdown!" The frequent pauses in broadcasting when your player cross another ten yards. Also though its repeative, Chuck Downfield will occasionally throw in a story or line you've never heard him bring up before.
Most fields you play on in pickup aren't available in season and fields in season aren't available in pickup games.

Pros: Good game for anyone first learning about football and teaches you the basics. Also good game for kids because of its difficulty.

Cons: Difficulty is the same on all difficulty settings. Most fields you play on in pickup aren't available in season and fields in season aren't available in pickup games. Repetitive broadcasting.

Closing comments: If you have time to waste or don't have another football game on your hands, you'll be forced to play this one if you own it. If you don't own, purchase the newest in the series.
