The new editions of Backyard Sports titles finally seem to be getting better with each try, but still don't capture the fun and essence of the old style of Backyard Sports games. This baseball game can be fun and once you get the hang of the touch controls, it becomes quite easy. It is much better than the most recent horrible DS attempt at Backyard Football which was almost unplayable. I enjoy playing this game with my little boy. He picked it up and stuck with it and now plays this game and Backyard Basketball for his DS frequently. Backyard Basketball still is the best of the Backyard Sports series so far. While Backyard Baseball is better than 2K's MLB Fantasy AllStars for the DS, I will be looking forward to see what kind of offering 2K pitches with MLB Power Pros 2008 and will maybe check out Little League 2008 as well. Overall Backyard Baseball is a fair baseball game for the DS with some enjoyable moments.
