No wonder dudes are gettin blown up. Running backs need to keep your pads low.
Better than dodo madden
Looks pretty cool! Now if only it could include real NFL teams.....
just hope camera angles don't mess up gameplay or make controls complicated....they got good ideas for this game....hope it is not a downfall..have high expectations for this game
" bguy9 Posted Feb 17, 2010 4:31 pm PT These cocky fools are in for a treat. A simulation football game with players turning blue and a red ball? I'm sorry I just can't take watching my wide receiver turn blue every time he's thrown the red glowing ball. Please sell your engine to madden so they can make a great football game out of it because you guys can't. You have English accents for christ sake, go make a soccer game. Will not buy until it's selling for $10 a month after it's released." - How are they cocky? If you knew anything about this game, you would know that it has two game modes, arcade and sim. The glowing football/players are visual cues in arcade mode to help when playing defense. They can be switched off. I hope they don't sell the engine to EA, they will just keep it and not use it. But hey, have fun playing Madden, I hear Madden 11 has real NFL kicking tees and improved hand warmers. Should be fun.
this game looks phenomenal ..wow..madden is arcadey this game without real nfl players still looks better than any madden ive every seen ..or playied for that matter..damn NFL look wat you guys have done to the video game football world ..we could have had a sick rep of wat really happens in the nfl on the field instead you sold the nfl soul off to wack e.a. to make arcadey unrealistic football ..

This could be amazing, if they do it right. But I don't believe that those camera angles are actual gameplay angles. This euphoria thing may beat madden's engine (which BTW sucks balls). I agree with both RunRickyRun and Arab_Assassin22, as well.
The only big hole I see here is that the camera view would seriously mess with local multiplayer, and that's something that a lot of people are used to having with sports games. But a lot of people also don't care about that, too.
@nosterdamma Good thinkin my man
it looks like when you see a pair of fake adidas shoes at Walmart
notserbamma Madden aka Ea Sports will just steal it like every idea 2k thought of.
if this is succesful, EA will buy them out and use their technology in future madden games.......I already see it now....
who evers tracking my post ur a big nasty pervert and go suck 1
This game could be huge if it is a good as it looks.....and has some great PR
ya thats true arab assassin22 but you never know sometimes that doesnt matter
I was just wondering why a British based Game Developer is developing a game based on an American sport, makes me wonder how different this game will be from madden.

@pharlik Great, you'd buy a football game without a NFL license, but my point is 99.9% of the market wouldn't regardless of whether or not the hardcore gamers on this forum, that make up a miniscule part of the market, would. I love how I got rated down for stating an obvious fact that the rest of you are ignoring.
Im just gonna create my fav nfl team aka ny jets.
I'll pick this up used - looks promising!
Without real physics towels hanging from the quarterback's waists, this game will never kill Madden. Geez, these guys have nerve. LOL
@RunRickyRun I'd buy it, I couldn't care less what the teams were. This looks amazing. Most other football games are cookie cutter copies of each other, and it sucks balls.
Without a NFL license this game is doomed. Doesn't matter how good the gameplay is nobody is going to buy it without real teams. Some good ideas but the player models are bad, the uniforms are horrible and the abs on the jerseys is plain retarded. Who's up for a game of All-Pro Football 2K-8. Picked up that gem a week after it was released for 99 cents and traded it into gamestop. If anyone is interested in this game definitely wait for the bargain bin, it won't take long.
To moses101 1 : Fifa's made in Canada and they've done the best soccer game ever, so...
The game looks cool but you have to wonder how good of an American football game a crew of Englishman can make.
After being forced in playing Madden or NCAA Football, it's great to see other developers pressuring EA on making larger leaps for a football game. Raising that bar....even if it doesn't include 'real' teams. I just want to play some football without moderate updates with EA Sports!
this is looking up to being a great football game. Hope we get a demo soon. Cannot wait til May 18th!
Been waiting on this game 4ever!
how long were these guys in development?????????
hopefully the jukes don't look that bad in the final game but i hope this game turns out well
looks gay Madden better fix the crappy gameplay issues like not being able to lead wide open receivers with bullet passes (in stride) and ridiculous catch up speed of the DBs. Secondly, fix the motions of the offensive line men. They looked retarded when 5 guys cant keep the pocket clear of only 2 rushers. - Frustrated Madden player
looks like a good game, but why are british dudes making a game about american football. madden FTW.
Madden dicks all over this crap,if your annoyed with Madden just do what i do and buy it every 2 years that way you get a good change in the gameplay and your not wasting an extra £40,i do the same thing with pro evo, sports games never change that significantly from one year to the next
The game, as a whole, looks amazing. The only thing(s) I don't like about it is the player models; I think they need to be improved. Same goes for the uniforms and it's numbers. There isn't much of a difference between what the teams look like, and in American sports, that's a big thing. The numbers are too small. Regardless, it looks like something I would really enjoy. It's also nice to see a worldly perspective regarding our (football) game. By that I mean, the devs being European and the game being American. Looking forward to the review.
Just pure awesome
all i need this game to do is put madden to shame and i will be a happy camper
hopefully it will do well enough that it can get nfl licensing to get team and player names. it looks great but it's hard to get into games with fake players and teams and it would be nice to have a choice besides madden.
Man I can not believe this!!! I was just thinking of this very f****** idea today when i was working! First the digital picture frame, i still have one major improvement they haven't thought of though, and now this! Please if anyone from the development team reads this contact me for a job! IM TIRED OF WORKING CONSTRUCTION
I'd like to play a Demo of the game first. I've always gotten Madden NFL every year but every time I get it I hardly play it as much. Don't know why. Don't have much fun as I used too when it was on the PS2. Now I play FIFA more. That's my favorite Sports game. But I hope this Backbreaker game is pretty good and if it is could maybe have the NFL back it up if it does well. Who knows. Go Broncos!
Backbreaker, a "Real Football Experience", something that we've been lacking for 5 years now and the only one to come close was VisualConcepts/2k Sports. NaturalMotion has set the foundation for next-gen sports gaming and other games as well. Great technology from a great company. If we can't look at that video and not be impressed, then we deserve Madden NFL 10.
all they have to do is add real players and im in
who see it. the next gen in football history
... well ... we'll have to wait and see won't we? but i predict that they're going to focus a lot of time on this euphoria engine, that I have to say does sound appealing, but at the cost of severely lacking in other areas of the game. I mean, I could possibly go without licensed teams just fine, but I don't know if these developers really know "football" as much as they know how to make a robust physics engine... but we will see. I hope I'm wrong.
Please take away the abs on the jerseys! It's as bad as Snake Eye's having lips. Can't wait to try a new football game.
i have been saving my madden money for backbreaker :)
cant wait to play this game.
EA probably has a few Brits working on Madden. Maybe these guys will bring some fresh ideas - Madden has gotten stale for me.
@lakeerie_effect They have american football in europe too you dumbass. Yes America is better at it but what the hell does that have to do with these British guys ability to develope a video game. Use your brain mate.
i don not like american football but this game looks very GREAT, i ll buy it :D
