A great story but too short

User Rating: 9 | Back to the Future: The Game - Episode II: Get Tannen! PC
1. Gameplay - Well there is not much of a change in gameplay from the previous episode. You move Marty around with the keyboard and click with the mouse to interact with the environment. NPCs interact with you via a dialog system. You can also use any item from the inventory to make it interact with the environment or an NPC.

2. Story - The game starts off from where the last episode left off. With Marty disappearing out of existence, Marty realizes that his grandfather, Arthur, who used to work for mobster Kid Tannen, and whom he and the younger Doc had coaxed into giving proof of Tannen's nefarious deeds, was murdered by Tannen. Marty travels back in time and arrives to save his grandfather. He convinces Arthur to escape and lay low. However on returning back to his timeline he finds out that Tannen never got arrested and as a result, Biff and Kid rule over the entire Hill Valley. As a result, Doc and Marty return back to 1931 to correct whatever went wrong. They soon find out that the policeman who was supposed to capture Tannen, was the one who had actually nearly caught "Carl Sagan", aka Doc, but was interrupted by Marty and his DeLorean time machine. When he reported to his superiors, they scoffed him and as a result his girlfriend dumped him. To complicate matters more, he turns out to be the grandfather of Marty's girlfriend Jennifer. Dumped by his girlfriend, the cop takes to drinking and starts working for Tannen. Furthermore, the incriminating evidence against Tannen has to be provided by her speakeasy singer who will only confide in Arthur. Finally, Marty manages to fix them all up, getting Tannen arrested. In the meantime, the young Edna Strickland gets infatuated with the young Doc. As Marty and Doc leave for their timeline, Doc is horrified to learn that Doc and Edna have started dating. Soon enough Doc starts disappearing. As Marty hits 88, Doc vanishes completely. This makes Marty lose control of the car and hits a billboard. As the screen zooms out, the billboard shows a picture of a balding person who looks very similar to Doc.

3. Graphics - Graphics hasn't improved much, but it isn't too bad to begin with either.

4. Music and Sound - Music and Sound effects are really good. Voice acting is also superb.

The game is in every means a worthy successor to the previous installment.
