A mix between Pokemon and Diablo. lol
Why do I think it's like Pokemon? Well, it got more than 50 monster which are call your familiar once you can catch their egg and breed them. After that, they'll fight for you, almost as a pokemon do.
Why do I think it's like Diablo? Well, it got random map generator and each time you enter the same tower, you can loot new treasures and stuff, which can let you grow stronger and richer.
So it should be a great game!?! Right!?! No, it's not. It's a good game. The monsters don't have as much techniques as in pokemon. Plus, in Pokemon, there is like 8 families of pokemon (pokemon of fire, water, psychic...) here, in Azure Dream, there is only 3. So the combat system is not as deep.
It's not perfect as in Diablo. The loot you gain is almost always of the same strength. You'll never find a piece of armor better than the one you already have. So the loot is only there to grow your wealth.
The graphics are a little bit lame with a lot of pixels. Beurk! Still, when you're talking to someone, it's ok, 'cause you can see a well drawn picture of the character. Most of them are pretty. Which is great, 'cause there is a game of flirting in town with the girls ^.^
The sound do the job, but gets repetitive and starts to annoy after a while (maybe I played this game too much).
The story is typical: you start as a nobody and as you grow stronger, richer and as you help the community you earn respect and get all the girls at your feet (even one guy)!!
With money, your character is able to build casino, a race track and other stuff that will bring a lot of mini games to play in town. The swimming pool is a must, 'cause you can see the girls (and a boy) in their swimsuit!!
Still, in the US version, you'll not be able to marry anyone 'cause your character is 15years old :( . In the japanese version, you could. You could also flirt with a boy. In the US version, the better you can do with the boy, it's to like you. (I guess gay love is not a good thing in the US...)
