When Aliens are stealing the Earth's resources, what are you going to do? That's right, destroy their headquarters in your Axelay ship. Axelay is a 1992 Snes game made by Konami, who made the Snes classic Gradius III. It's no surprise Axelay is a classic, and it proves it with a flawless presentation.

Getting into the game, you'll first choose your weapondry. You can choose your missiles, bombs, and guns. oce you choose 3 of them, you're on your way. Once you start, you'll notice Konami made it in a vertical view. Also, enemies will rush at you in seconds, and you'll have to attack them with your weapons you chose. The games vertical style levels prove great, and the graphics and sound go great with the pace.

Graphically, the game is great. It features puesedo 3D levels and backgrounds, and you can actually go upward and downward instead of in place like most other vertical shooters, making it a great graphical look. The soundtrack is also great, espically the setup and first level. the catchy drums and atmospheric music prove great for the graphical detail.

The only things that suck about Axelay are that it's too short and it lacked a sequel. Axelay is still an awesome original Snes shooter, probably the best. With great vertical and horizontal game-play, awesome graphics, and a memorable soundtrack, Axelay is a Snes classic.
