User Rating: 9.5 | Avalon Code DS
This one snuck past my radar. Until I heard about it and decided to give it a try, (it was only like 15 dollars).

This is a stunning game. The DS has had its fair share of RPG's, and alot of them have managed to be innovative and entertaining.

However, none of them have produced that certain feeling. I'm talking about that feeling deep inside, the feeling that comes from games like Tales of Symphonia on the GC, or Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii.

When you're playing those games, you realize that you're playing a newborn classic. You see that you're playing one of the greatest games of all time.

Avalon Code gives me that feeling. And since the entire package is available on the DS, on a portable system, it makes it even more appealing.

Pros:
-Epic. Is it epic. The moment you begin to play, the game gives off the sense of an extremely open world. The story is also grand in depth.

-Story. I love, I NEED a good story in a game, or else I loose interest. Avalon Code provides this, and right from the very beginning too.

-Graphics. THE BEST ON THE DS. I have never played a DS game that looked this tasty. Everything, the locations, buildings, characters, weapons, it all looks stunning. The characters' hair sways in the wind. Leaves blow up and down through the air. It is a beautiful thing to witness.

-Gameplay. When you begin to fight, you can run around, roll on the ground, even decide which hand you want to fight with.

-Material. I haven't even mentioned the Book of Prophecy. This little innovative piece of fantasy-bliss is another feature that sets the game apart from all the rest. The touch screen is the book, open so you can view its pages. From here you have 2,000 pages to look through, from weapons to characters to other material. This book gives you everything you need to know.

You also use the book to gather information, as part of the game's story. The book is one of the game's greatest points, but it is also one of it's cons.

Cons:
-Learning curve. The book of prophecy is SO LARGE. You can get lost in it if you don't know your way around. Luckily the game provides you a bookmark, but even then it is still difficult. This is the only reason why the game doesn't receive a perfect 10.

Even though learning how to use the book is kinda tricky, this game is the best RPG I've played on the DS so far. And given the low price, this one's a no-brainer.
