Old fashion arcade like fun.

I am having a hard time rating all my old Intellivision games. One of the reasons is the replay ability of each game. A lot of these games didn’t last long due to the no save option of the era. Another reason is actually looking at the graphics compared to today’s standards. Instead of constantly complaining about those graphics, I will emphasize more on the gameplay and most of all fun. Almost like arcade setup this game is pure reaction. Astrosmash is basically a space shooting arcade game. Simple controls left and right. Two fire modes, automatic and manual. And one special move is hyperspace, used to save your ship when a homing missile is coming at you or if you want to get away from a falling asteroid. The object of the game is basic. Shoot everything. This game is very easy for any age group and is setup for hours and hours of doing the same thing if your good. The difficulty level only goes up in speed so quick reactions goes a long way to getting high scores. This game was one of the hallmark games for intellivision and is a collectors item.
