A game that, after all of my time spent with it, is still one of the greatest game boy games available.

My love of Astro Boy began a while ago. I heard about this new show on Kids WB(Yes, I used to watch that. Please stop laughing). It was called Astro Boy. I'm not sure if I had heard of Astro Boy before, but, at the time that this show started, I immediately took a liking to this robot boy. Now, a while later, I am reviewing a game that is, in itself, amazing.

Story: If you have never heard of Astro Boy, please, kindly go to wikipedia and search 'Astro Boy'. When you are done, come back and continue. Anyway, the story of Astro is a great one. Sometimes sad, lots of times happy, occasionally epic, Astro Boy is one of Osamu Tezuka greatest works. This game has a great adaption of the story.

Gameplay: You control Astro through a series of beat-em-up levels and boss battles. The game suffers occasional slowdown, which doesn't really make a difference. The game also incorporates RPG elements, in a way which, somewhat originally, whenever Astro meets a new person, he is given a point which can be used to update Astro powers. By the end of the game, you will probably have Astro completely, totally powered up.

Graphics: The game has nice, 2d graphics that should remind you of Tezuka's artwork. Slowdown doesn't happen often, as I've previously stated.
Characters look nice, areas are detailed, and, quite frankly, the game looks like it is supposed to.

Sound: This game has great, great music that goes along with all the beat-em-up antics of Astro Boy. Not much more can really be said about the music. Astro also has a few voice clips. There are, I believe, several different attack and death sounds.

Fun: This game is just about the most fun that you can have on the game boy advance or, more currently, the DS. I find myself coming back to it, to this day, even after I have beaten it multiple times.

Overall: A great game, with some very minor flaws, that should be experienced by any Astro Boy fan. If you like beat-em-ups, Astro Boy, or fun, even, get Astro Boy: The Omega Factor.
