This game is pretty tough, but it's a joy to play as the Asterix characters. I was never able to finish Asterix and the Great Rescue. It was just too hard for me. That is probably the reason why I haven't played this game as much as some of my other games. This is a standard side-scroller, platform game. It's no where near as good as the Mario games though. It's more of a collector's item for fans of the Asterix comics and movies. I would recommend picking this game up in bargain bin. It's pretty old, so unless it has some insane value among Asterix collectors, it should be really, really cheap!
