Asterix & Obelix XXL is an action game starring the two Gauls in their mission to rescue the rest villagers.
Asterix & Obelix, along with Dogmatix are in the forest hunting boars, while a thunder rumbles, and Dogmatix is shocked. In their quest to find their dog, the two friends realise that their village is stroke by the Romans and everyone is kidnapped. A roman spy is then revealed, saying that he is traitor to their side, in fact he is used as a tutor. Later in the game, they find Getafix, their druid, caged, and he reveals Ceasar's plans to destroy the village by parting its villagers in every corner of the Roman Empire.
The environments of the game are very nice, though I can't say the same for the gameplay, which is repetitive, the same in all the game: bush Romans, light fires everywhere, smashing everything standing in your way, and defeating the boss machines of every level.
The graphics of the game are very good, but in lower-performance systems you may experience clipping or frame rate problems.
Asterix XXL is not a game you should miss. On the contrary, it is a game I recommend to you, despite its problems and cons.
